Liisa Kuhn

Liisa Kuhn, PhD, is a professor and associate department head of biomedical engineering at the University of Connecticut Health Center. She has a broad expertise in biomaterials applied as implantable drug delivery systems for controlled release of therapeutics or as scaffolds for stem cell delivery. Her translational research has applications in aging, orthopedics, oral and maxillofacial surgery, cancer, and specialized medical devices. Prior to joining UConn Health in 2002, she co-founded a company and had a successful exit. She recently co-founded a new venture focused on pediatric esophageal repair.
