For Providers: Technical Assistance Qualification Criteria
To become a Technical Assistance provider, applicants may be either a nonprofit or for-profit entity (not an individual) and must meet at least one of the following criteria:
- A primary purpose of the entity or a central part of the entity’s mission is to provide legal, accounting and/or financial advisory services.
- The entity regularly markets or publicizes itself as providing legal, accounting and/or financial advisory services.
- At least 25 percent of the entity’s revenue or staff are dedicated to providing legal, accounting and/or financial advisory services.

For Companies: Technical Assistance Qualification Criteria
Companies interested in receiving Technical Assistance must first meet all of the following initial qualifications:
- The company is SEDI (view definition) and/or VSB (fewer than 10 employees).
- The company is applying for, preparing to apply for, or has previously applied for a SSBCI capital program, or other federal or jurisdiction small business program.
- The company can demonstrate a need for technical assistance in one of the following areas: legal services, accounting services or financial advisory services.
