Please join Launc[H], Techstars, UConn and Connecticut Innovations on Tuesday, November 16, for our pilot event of Overbooked, an entrepreneurs book club in which we identify a business book and host an interactive discussion with subject matter experts. The goal of the club is to bring together a diverse group of executives and entrepreneurs to participate in curated discussions on relevant business topics.
For our first meeting, we will be tackling No Rules Rules: Netflix and the Culture of Reinvention by Reed Hastings and Erin Meyer. This month’s discussion will be led by Greg Reilly, Professor of Management and Department Head at the University of Connecticut School of Business, where he teaches integrative strategy classes. Professor Reilly will facilitate discussion and debate about whether Netflix’s unique approach—to building up talent, increasing candor and eliminating controls—can work within other organizations.
Attendance is limited to 20 participants, so please register to be placed on a waiting list. The first 50 people to register will receive a copy of the book in the format of their choice. For those who are selected to participate in this first discussion, the meeting details are below. We will be in touch in early November to finalize participants.
