Three companies advance to VentureClash semifinals – RepliX, Mother’s Choice and EcoPlant

ROCKY HILL, Conn., – May 30, 2019 – Connecticut Innovations (CI), the leading source of financing and ongoing support for Connecticut’s innovative, growing companies, today announced that RepliX, an innovative cloud storage startup company, won the VentureClash Tel Aviv pitch competition.

RepliX delivers a private and public data center distribution platform that increases utilization and cuts costs for business-critical applications. The company is now eligible for a $500,000 investment from Connecticut Innovations, and RepliX also secured a spot in the semifinal round of the main $5 million VentureClash competition in Connecticut, which will culminate with the final pitch event in October.

Additionally, Mother’s Choice, a company creating personal care products and ingredients scientifically proven to be healthy, safe and all-natural, and EcoPlant, an energy-saving platform that connects directly to any industrial control equipment installed on machines and sensors, placed in the top three of the competition. Both companies are now fast-tracked to the VentureClash semifinals. They will receive a $5,000 grant to visit Connecticut in August for the semifinals, with an opportunity to advance to the finals in October at Yale University.

“The quality and caliber of all the companies that participated in the process and pitched at VentureClash Tel Aviv were outstanding,” said Matt McCooe, CEO of Connecticut Innovations. “We congratulate RepliX, Mother’s Choice and EcoPlant, as they made it past some extraordinary companies. We are excited to welcome all three winners to Connecticut to explore the ways in which our state can provide the resources to help them scale and thrive in the North American marketplace.”
