Connecticut Innovations Closes FY 2020 with $43.2 in Total Investments
Deals leveraged more than $436 million in outside capital

New Haven, CT – September 23, 2020 – Connecticut Innovations (CI), Connecticut’s strategic venture capital arm and the leading source of financing and ongoing support for Connecticut’s innovative, growing companies, today announced final investment figures from its recently completed fiscal year.

Between July 1, 2019, and June 30, 2020, CI invested $43.2 million in Connecticut-based, early-stage companies via 135 individual transactions. In terms of investment breakdown, CI invested $25.8 million in bioscience and healthcare companies, $15.9 million in information technology companies and $1.5 million in other Connecticut-based companies. CI’s transactions also leveraged an additional $436 million in outside capital.
