The 200-mile Tour de Connecticut begins on September 15, stopping at Connecticut’s leading startups, riding alongside investors and exploring iconic landmarks in the state
New Haven, Conn. – July 31, 2025 – Connecticut Innovations (CI), the state’s venture capital arm, today announced the Tour de Connecticut, taking place from Monday, September 15, through Thursday, September 18, 2025. The tour is a 200-mile bike ride across the state, from Stamford to Mystic, where CI meets with entrepreneurs, investors and ecosystem builders in Connecticut, while exploring the natural beauty our state has to offer.
“We created the Tour de Connecticut to showcase how closely connected—and uniquely ambitious—Connecticut’s innovation ecosystem really is,” said Matt McCooe, CEO of Connecticut Innovations. “This initiative is our way of celebrating founders, investors and partners who helped build something special here.”
In addition to hosting networking events during the week, CI will also visit with companies on their home turf, including but not limited to Kibu, P2 Science, Athletic Brewing and Enko.
“This isn’t just a bike ride—it’s a symbol of what we believe in at CI,” said Lauren Carmody, Chief Marketing Officer at Connecticut Innovations. “We invest in the most promising businesses in the state, and this tour is a chance to spend more time with them and other investors and ecosystem builders who know Connecticut is an incredible place to build and grow.”
