Connecticut Innovations Announces 2019 VentureClash Semifinalists
34 early-stage companies chosen to advance in $5 million global venture challenge
Rocky Hill, Connecticut – July 15, 2019 – Connecticut Innovations (CI), Connecticut’s strategic venture capital arm, today announced the semifinalists for VentureClash, the $5 million global investment challenge. The first round of the VentureClash competition attracted nearly 300 applications from more than 20 countries around the world, and 34 companies advanced to the semifinalist round.
VentureClash brings together early-stage digital health, insurance technology (insurtech), financial technology (fintech) and industry 4.0 companies from around the world to compete for the opportunity to receive investment, mentoring, customer introductions, grants and services from CI to help them grow and succeed in Connecticut.

VentureClash finalists will be notified on September 6, 2019, following judging from an outside panel of industry leaders and subject matter experts. The finals event, which will feature 10 finalists, will be on Thursday, October 17, at the Yale West Campus in Orange, Connecticut.
