Megha Unhelkar

Director of Investments, Bioscience

Megha focuses on investments in life sciences companies, including biotech, therapeutics and healthcare, where she leads sourcing, investment structuring and portfolio support. She brings expertise in venture creation, portfolio strategy and company building with a foundation in chemistry and drug development.

Before joining CI, Megha was associate director of strategy and portfolio analytics at Flagship Pioneering, where she focused on single-asset development with pioneering medicines and worked on partnerships with major pharmaceutical companies. Earlier in her career, she worked as a bench scientist at BASF and Celgene, advised life sciences clients as a consultant with Charles River Associates and helped translate academic technologies into startups as a Blavatnik Fellow at Yale University, where she co-founded Domillin. She earned her PhD in chemistry from the University of California, Irvine, MS in pharmacology from Northeastern University, and BS in pharmaceutical sciences from the University of Mumbai. She is passionate about growing Connecticut’s biotech community and driving innovation to deliver meaningful impact.
