Harshit Agrawal

Associate, ClimateTech Fund

Harshit supports Connecticut Innovations’ ClimateTech Fund, backing companies building technologies for a better, healthier world. He brings an unusually complete vantage point, having sat on all sides of the climate capital table as a founder, operator and investor.

Harshit earned a master’s degree from Yale University. During his time there, he sharpened his investing skills across two complementary roles: at a $20 billion assets-under-management family office, where he helped build a climate AI growth equity fund, and at a Houston-based climate venture firm, where he developed the firm’s grid-tech thesis for early-stage investments.

Before Yale, Harshit spent more than five years at Hindustan Petroleum, a Fortune 500 company and one of India’s largest public energy corporations. There, he led energy strategy, market analysis and power trading; built utility-scale solar power plants; and optimized more than $200 million in annual oil and gas supply chain operations. He also helped advance India’s ambitious E20 program, building infrastructure for the nationwide rollout of 20% bioethanol blending.

Harshit holds a Bachelor of Technology in mechanical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology. Outside of work, he is an avid reader, writes poetry and can usually be found on a hiking trail.
