Cynthia Petruzzello

Vice President Compliance & SSO

Cynthia is responsible for managing the Sales & Use Tax Exemption Program for the State of Connecticut, providing companies and developers with relief on capital equipment and construction materials. As the Senior Sustainability Manager for CI, she interacts with agencies and authorities within the state to provide information on sustainable awareness and sustainable business efforts. In addition, Cynthia manages the CAB (Capital Access to Business) Loan Guarantee Program for small businesses and is responsible for the loan portfolio management functions for CI’s Accounting Department.

Prior to Connecticut Development Authority’s (CDA) merger with CI, Cynthia was Vice President of Brownfields Financing, focusing on tax increment financing of contaminated properties, which has brought innumerable properties back to productive use in our state. She has also served in varying capacities in real estate portfolio management in her career. In her free time, she proclaims to be an insufferable art aficionado and loves to play golf.
