Managing Director, Portfolio Acceleration Services and Director, Investments
Since joining CI in 2017, Alison has led investments in Fresh Nation, The Big Willow, Lifestyle CX, Sea Green Farms and Assessment Innovations. As a director of investments at CI, Alison is responsible for sourcing new technology investment opportunities, leading deals and accelerating portfolio companies. She is also the Managing Director of the Executive in Residence (EIR) program, responsible for accelerating the growth of the portfolio companies. Alison has a strong background in financial management, sales, strategy and raising capital. She serves on the executive board of the Connecticut Venture Group, and is a regular speaker and member at several entrepreneur organizations, including Golden Seeds, The Refinery and Springboard Enterprises.
Prior to CI, Alison was the managing director and partner at Trimodia LLC, where she invested in companies such as Centrallo, Quigler, Interactio, Wild Things, Baskins, Blinked LLC and North Basin. Alison was the CEO and co-founder of Design2Launch (D2L), a Connecticut-based software startup for packaging design collaboration for the pharma industry, acquired by Eastman Kodak Company in 2008. She later helped with the spinout of the company and merger with BLUE Software in 2016, where she sat on the board of directors and supported the successful exit to Danaher in 2018. Alison started her investing career at the Slovak American Enterprise Fund in Slovakia. She worked for General Electric around the world, graduating from GE Capital’s prestigious financial management program. She was also the chief financial officer of the NBC Retail Experience Store, and integrated the acquisition of the Mexican bank Banco Alianza with GE Capital Mexico. Alison was trained in process reengineering thru GE’s Six Sigma program, and led a management consulting practice for Arthur Andersen Management Consulting.
Alison graduated from Boston College, is a dual citizen, is an avid racer of sailboats, and lives in Stamford with her husband and two children.
