Chairman and CEO, RM Bradley Management Corporation


Richard T. Mulready, chairman and CEO of RM Bradley Management Corporation, started the company in 1975 in Hartford. His real estate career, which spans 44 years, began in mortgage banking and lending, and evolved to include property management, brokerage, development and consulting.

Mulready is the majority shareholder of RM Bradley, which manages approximately 6.5 million square feet of commercial space. He has developed several premier properties in the Greater Hartford area, including Metro Center One, a 325,000-square-foot office building and adjoining 1,200-space parking garage, and 800 Mountain Road, a luxury condominium project.

Mulready earned an M.B.A., with a specialization in real estate and urban land economics, from University of California at Los Angeles in 1968, after his undergraduate work at the University of Hartford and Holy Cross College. He has served as a member of the board of trustees of St. Joseph College, and as a member of the board of directors of Gaylord Hospital, the Hartford Stage Company, the Greater Hartford Chamber of Commerce, the Hartford Architecture Conservancy and St. Francis Hospital. He currently serves on the board of directors of Connecticut Innovations and the board of finance of the Metropolitan District Commission.

Mulready was elected to the Connecticut state legislature as a state representative from the 20th Assembly District in West Hartford in 1986. He was reelected in 1988, 1990 and 1992. During his latter two terms, he served as the chairman of the Finance, Revenue and Bonding Committee, and as a member of the Insurance and Real Estate Committee.
