Kate Vick

With over 40 years of professional experience, Kate Vick’s consulting and operating career spans a diverse range of industries ranging from e-commerce to high technology to the service sector. In 2003, Vick cofounded J. Stockard Fly Fishing, a leading, niche online retailer. Prior to J. Stockard, she was the executive vice president and chief financial officer of, where she led the company’s business development and fundraising efforts, including a highly successful IPO. Her other professional experience includes initiating and closing every phase of equity financing, strategic planning and negotiating joint ventures. In addition to co-managing J. Stockard, she consults on a part-time basis and focuses on working with entrepreneurial managers. She also has served on numerous not-for-profit boards and advisory committees. Vick holds an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business, where she was a Harry A. Hopf and Dorcas E. Campbell Fellow. She has an undergraduate degree in chemistry from Boston (Newton) College.
