Alexander D. Pencu is a partner at Meister Seelig & Fein LLP, a full-service commercial law firm headquartered in New York City with offices in Stamford, Connecticut; Massachusetts; and New Jersey. Pencu concentrates his practice in the areas of complex commercial litigation and products liability. Pencu has represented clients ranging from Fortune 50 companies to startup enterprises in a wide variety of matters from “bet the company litigation” to routine business disputes involving breach of contract claims, business torts, unfair trade practices, trade secret misappropriation, shareholder derivative suits, securities, antitrust, disputes from the sale of businesses, and noncompete claims.
Pencu has presented at seminars and has authored legal publications, most recently for organizations such as the Westchester & Fairfield County Association of Corporate Counsel and the international legal publication JURIS. Pencu is active in the Democratic City Committee for the City of Stamford. Prior to joining Meister Seelig & Fein LLP, Pencu was an attorney with Robinson & Cole LLP and served in the cabinet of former City of Stamford Mayor Dannel P. Malloy’s administration.
Pencu is a graduate of the University of Rochester (B.A. 2000 in economics and political science) and the University of Connecticut (J.D. 2004). He is admitted to practice in the Connecticut and New York state courts, the United States District Courts for the District of Connecticut, the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and the Second and Ninth Circuit Courts of Appeals.
Pencu was appointed to the Connecticut Innovations Board of Directors by Governor Dannel P. Malloy.
