Carrie Collins White is a senior investment associate at Connecticut Innovations. In her role, she contributes to the strategic direction of the funds, conducts due diligence on applicants, closes deals, and manages projects in the portfolio.
Carrie joined CI in December 2013 as a program associate, where she provided program and project management support for CTNext, Connecticut’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. In this role, she also helped early-stage startups connect with program partnerships and other available resources.
Carrie has more than 13 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, and has held several positions with increasing responsibility in clinical data management and business operations. She has managed and contributed to many initiatives in electronic clinical data management and data capture from various laboratories and clinical trial sites, and was also responsible for the oversight of onshore and offshore staff in the execution of clinical data management processes. Carrie was also integral in managing relationships with small to large Clinical Research Organizations (CROs) for the statistical programming and medical writing group for a large pharmaceutical company. She contributed to contract negotiations, coordinated RFP bids, developed budgets, implemented performance metrics tools, and performed oversight of training and regulatory compliance for 600+ CRO staff. Carrie has her Six Sigma Green Belt certification for leading a continuous improvement initiative that helped expedite the CRO payment process.
