Our most important stakeholders

Who We Partner With

Connecticut Innovations is a roll-up-your-sleeves, all-hands-on-deck, let’s-grow-the-best-ideas type of organization. But we wouldn’t be nearly as effective if we didn’t have smart and talented partners working alongside us. We’d love to count you among them.

Venture Capitalists

Venture capital and strategic support for early-stage technology companies.

CI has a number of equity funds for when you’re ready to take your technology idea or business to the next level. We are highly selective and have a stringent due diligence process, but if you meet our investment criteria, our team will recommend the fund that best fits your needs.

Government, Industry & Universities

Collaboration excites us.

It greases the cogs of innovation and powers Connecticut’s economy. We like it when startups license Yale technology. When Sikorsky partners with small businesses to solve technology challenges. When UCONN shares faculty with The Jackson Laboratory. That’s why we make it a point to facilitate connections. Because you never know where the next big idea will come from, or who will help it explode.

We work closely with a number of Connecticut entities, among them Connecticut Green Bank and DECD.

Connecticut’s lenders do a fantastic job ensuring that our state’s businesses have access to capital.

Yet sometimes there’s a customer whose request doesn’t meet the bank’s guidelines, including collateral shortfall, or who needs a loan with a longer maturity, or permanent working capital. That’s where CI comes in. Our expert team works with banks to fill in those gaps to keep Connecticut’s companies growing.
