Through our Eli Whitney Fund, Connecticut BioSeed Fund, Seed Investment Fund and Clean Tech Fund, Connecticut Innovations has invested over $147 million in 107 early- stage technology companies.  By investing another $33 million through our BioScience Facilities Fund, we have built out over 330,000 square feet of wet laboratory space creating the infrastructure needed to nurture and grow the bioscience industry in Connecticut.  Our investments have been made across a broad spectrum of technologies including, photonics, bioscience, medical devices and a variety of information technology areas.

By investing at the earliest stage of a company’s development, Connecticut Innovations is taking on a higher level of risk that other investors. On average companies stay in our portfolio for six to seven years during which time we work closely with the company, providing more than financial support.  Our goal is to prepare each company we invest in for success.
