The medical schools at Yale University and University of Connecticut are an important component of Connecticut’s medical device ecosystem. They continue to spawn new medical device technologies and companies, some of which Connecticut Innovations has invested in.

Connecticut’s medical device community also benefits from the Biomedical Engineering Alliance and Consortium (BEACON), a local nonprofit organization that serves as a valuable resource for information and networking opportunities within this community.
